Debra M. Coulson and Bryce descendant Harley N. Trice are the authors of the recent publication Bryce Glass, Art and Novelty in Nineteenth-Century Pittsburgh.

The book is an in-depth examination of the history and production of the Bryce companies in Pittsburgh from 1850 to 1891, based on company and wholesaler catalogs, trade journal reports, newspaper articles, and other nineteenth-century resources.

It includes a compendium of 145 catalogue images and line drawings of Bryce pressed glass.  The 256-page volume is beautifully illustrated with photographs by leading decorative arts photographer Gavin Ashworth of New York City. Copies are available now at BryceGlassBook@gmail.com and at major booksellers in May, 2023.

An exhibition of Bryce glassware will be featured at the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Ligonier Valley, Pennsylvania, from August 18 through November 5, 2023.
